Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck announced three new shareholders in its Denver office: Joshua Hantman, Jonathan Pray and Ashley Wingfield.
A member of the bankruptcy and restructuring group, Hantman?s practice focuses on a broad range of business reorganization, restructuring and distressed acquisition matters. He represents debtors, creditors, committees, trustees, lenders and purchasers of distressed assets in both litigation and transactional situations.
Hantman?s recent experience includes representing Mercury Companies Inc., a holding company for title companies in numerous states, in its Chapter 11 bankruptcy; representing Big Sandy Holding Co. in the sale of its subsidiary bank, Mile High Banks, through its Chapter 11 bankruptcy; successfully litigating appointment of a Chapter 11 trustee and confirming a creditor plan of reorganization in an oil and gas bankruptcy case, both over objections; and representing an investment fund in acquiring a $50 million multifamily development in San Francisco.
A litigator, Pray advises clients involved in real estate and construction disputes. He represents clients in all aspects of the development and construction industries, including commercial and residential developers and landlords, design and engineering firms, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, lenders, sureties, municipalities and public agencies.
Pray has litigated construction and real estate disputes in both state and federal courts, as well as in private arbitrations. He also regularly advises clients on the drafting and negotiating of construction contracts for public and private projects. Pray?s recent experience includes trying a complex construction dispute involving the developer of a large, mixed-use project in Vail, the project?s construction manager and a project subcontractor in Eagle County District Court.
Wingfield represents a wide range of clients in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions including development, finance and lending, acquisition, disposition and leasing. She has represented landlords and tenants in the negotiation of a variety of retail and office leases; guided her clients through all stages of retail, office, mixed-use and multifamily residential projects, from the initial structuring of investor arrangements through acquisition and disposition; managed complex acquisitions and large-scale property developments; and has represented developers in addressing a wide range of issues including subdivision, utilities, reciprocal easements, common interest communities, special districts and condemnation.
