Local Health Enthusiast Helps Her Clients ?Get to the Core?
For local health enthusiast Denise Martin, fitness is something she has always been passionate about. Working as a self-employed personal trainer and fitness instructor for more than 10 years enabled Denise to learn how to customize her programs for each unique individual.
?There?s so many facets to a human being, it?s not one program fits all,? she explained.
?I?ve learned in many cases that people sometimes forget what they put in their mouth is directly related to what is going on in their life. It?s about educating the whole person. There are certain triggers that will affect their success,? she said, ?and this puts many in an endless cycle of gaining and losing weight without permanent results.?
Denise, a married mother of 2 grown children, got her start teaching fitness at a local club which led to opening her own business. After having children she started her company, Taylor?d Bodies Fitness, named after her daughter Taylor, out of her home gym.
Later having a health scare of her own, Denise started focusing more on her nutrition rather than just fitness. She began looking into ways to heal herself through proper nutrition, which fueled her passion for everyday health and clean living.
?This reignited what I always knew, that good nutrition was the basis for how healthy we can be.? It?s what starts the whole process to true success in health and fitness.?
Core Fitness focuses on teaching people about clean eating and living a healthy lifestyle, which will benefit them and in turn, their entire family. ?We live in a fast-paced world and we?ve been programmed to eat on the run because it?s the most convenient way, and in the course of doing so we?re robbing ourselves of vitality and setting ourselves up for long-term health issues.?
?Gone are the days where people grew and harvested their own food, and knew where it was coming from,? she said. ?Denise is a huge proponent of shopping local and eating organic, seasonal farm-to-table food.
?When we don?t put quality food into our bodies it can lead to sick days, lack of energy, joint pain, skin eruptions, weight gain and bloating.?
