HTC has finally released the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update for its HTC One devices. Users across Europe and Taiwan have been receiving the update notifications and now the update has officially landed on the shores of the United Kingdom.
HTC?s UK Twitter account announced that the update has officially started rolling out earlier this morning. The good news is that almost everyone is receiving the update not just folks with unlocked devices. Users on Orange, Vodafone and O2 have been receiving the update notifications so at least some carriers are allowing the update to go through in a timely fashion.
Folks that upgrade to this latest version of Android will have the benefit from a number of bug fixes as well as some UI and functionality changes in the phone?s menus.
Though this isn?t a major update by any metric it?s still important that HTC keeps its customers up to date with the latest versions of the OS, especially when it turns out that Android suffers from major security flaws.
